Richard Clifford Perry, aged 79, of Lumpkin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Perry was born August 14, 1946, in Phenix City, Alabama and was the son of the late Henry Clifford Perry and Mildred Braswell Perry.
As a young man, Richard worked at Lummus Industries in Columbus. In 1979, he began a career at Miller Brewing Company in Albany, Georgia, where he worked until his retirement in 2007. He was an exceptional gardener and loved to work in the yard in his spare time. Richard was also an avid outdoorsman, who grew up hunting and fishing across Russell County, Alabama. He was a passionate Alabama football fan and never missed the opportunity to watch them play.
Survivors include daughters Kendal Perry and Carmen Reynolds of Lumpkin; son Ben Perry of Eufaula; one grandson Mateo De La Fuente of Denver, Colorado and several nieces and nephews.
The family will host a private visitation at his home in Lumpkin. In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you plant a flower in memory of Richard.
