Charles "Rickey" Richard Putnam

Charles Richard “Ricky” Putnam passed away from this life at his home in Seale Alabama on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles R. Putnam and Dorothy Ann Putnam. Ricky was born on December 18th, 1952, in Monterey, California. His family later moved to Columbus Georgia where he graduated from Kendrick high school. After high school Ricky followed in his father’s footsteps by serving in the U.S. Army. After the military he worked at a local mill and then later after getting his CDL he drove tractor trailers cross country. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting & fishing & spending time with friends. His favorite pastime in the past few years was eating at Uchee Creek Bar-B-Q & spending time with all of his friends there who truly loved him like family.

    Ricky is survived by five siblings, sisters Margie Rousads (Tony), Shirley Sowell, Betty Jordan (Ward), brothers Mike Putnam (Anna) & George Putnam. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews and longtime friends Victor & Chuck and others. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all those at Uchee Creek Bar-B-Q who loved Ricky & tried to take care of him.

A private committal service will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery on February 20, 2026, at 12:30pm
